I'm not sure if there are other mod places out there, but I think you need to own the content in steam to have steam even download the mods, otherwise it has no where to put it. not a problem, reason for that is I have just been uploading mods to steam workshop that I know fully work both in XXL and older versions. Pretty much all my mods uploaded here will work in all versions. only issue so far is a few won't show my transparent furniture objects, like balcony's etc. in XXL. @warmainiac, @Senacharim Unfortunately this mod won't help it these situations. The best thing to use in those situations is a mod manger like the one I pointed out in my last comment, or you can copy them manually from "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\" into your RimWorld mods folder.
